 Big Ben
The best way to get from London to
Bath Spa is by train from Paddington Station. If you are arriving by
air, you will find that there are special trains from the airport to the
city (Heathrow Express to Paddington Railway Station or Gatwick Express to
Victoria Station).
Heathrow
Express
The Heathrow Express runs at fifteen
minute intervals and takes fifteen minutes between Heathrow and Paddington
Station.

and fares, click here.
Gatwick
Express
The Gatwick Express runs from 06.05
to 00.50 hours at fifteen minute intervals and at hourly intervals through
the night. The trip takes approximately thirty minutes.

and fares, click here.
Unfortunately there are no direct
connections from Victoria Station to Bath. To get to Paddington
Station is about a twenty minute trip via the Underground on the Circle
Line.
Railway
Information
On average two trains an hour run
between London Paddington and Bath Spa stations from
6.00 to 24.00. For journey times and fares contact the National Rail Enquiry Line
on 08457 48 49 50. The trip normally takes between one hour and fifteen
minutes and one hour and forty-five minutes.

Travelling by Car
There are car hire companies
available at both airports. Be warned, however, traffic on UK
motorways is thick and fast. If you are not used to driving on the
left-hand side of the road, and have just arrived after a long flight, you
may want to consider going to Bath by train (faster and safer) and renting
a car there.
Should you decide to travel by car,
car hire firms at the airport will be happy to provide you with directions
for your trip to Bath. The trip will take between two and three
hours.
Coach Services
Bath is reasonably well
served from London by National Express Coaches which, during the week
leave about every hour for the four hour trip. For further
information including schedules and fares, click here.
